• Base Price:
  • Standard personal service: from $95
  • Registered agent service at major national agents (CT, CSC, LegalZoom, and others): $50
  • Service by posting: $45
  • Service by mail: $40
• Rush Fee: +$80 for urgent service
• Mailing: Required after substitute or posting service = $25
• Page Count: No charge for up to 49 pages; fees apply for 50+

How Page Charges Work

One Legal includes printing of up to 49 pages at no additional cost. If your serve requires more pages, small incremental fees apply to cover printing:

• 50–99 pages: +$10
• 100–249 pages: +$25
• 250–499 pages: +$50
• 500–999 pages: +$100
• 1,000+ pages: +$150

These charges are applied once per serve, not per attempt. The page count is based on the total number of pages uploaded for service.

• Standard service in San Francisco: $95 total
• Rush service in rural Mariposa County: $225 total ($145 Base Charge + $80 Rush Charge) 
• Two recipients at the same Los Angeles address: $145 total ($95 First Recipient Charge + $50 Additional Recipient Charge)
• Posting a Notice to Quit in San Diego: $70 total ($45 Posting Charge + $25 Mailing Charge)
• Service by mail with acknowledgment (80 pages): $50 total ($40 Service By Mail Charge + $10 Page Charge)

Why Prices Vary

We use a ZIP code–based zone system that reflects the time and difficulty of completing service. Most U.S. ZIP codes fall into the lowest-priced zones.

Optional Services & Add-Ons

• Stakeouts: $30 per 30 minutes (+ $30 admin fee)
• Notarized affidavits: $15 or state maximum
• Handling disbursements (e.g., witness fees): $1 admin fee if over $20

If Service Fails

You’re only charged when diligent effort is made and documented. If service can’t be completed, we will:

• Review every attempt for quality
• Request additional attempts if needed
• Provide a complimentary skip trace if the address appears invalid
